Overview

Kamp Softball Field is named after former player Jessica Kamp who tragically passed away in 2001.

Kamp Softball Field recently completed renovations and held an Opening Day ceremony on March 25, 2016. That day, the Lady Blues swept a doubleheader against Iowa Wesleyan University by identical scores of 4-0.

The renovations at the softball field include a resurfaced infield that allows for better drainage and fewer weather-related delays. The outfield also underwent spot improvements, and for the first time, a warning track was added.

The Lady Blues also have a new backstop with expanded netting behind home plate, two new dugouts, a new press box, public restrooms, a new scoreboard and rough-in lighting. Kamp Softball Field also features batting cages and bullpens down each baseline.
